THREE ARRESTED IN CLAYTON

On Thursday, March 2nd, Clayton Police in conjunction with the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in the 200 block of N. Main Street, Clayton. The Search warrant was the result of a month long investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics. Upon searching the defendants residence, Detectives seized over an ounce of purported marijuana, numerous individually package vials of marijuana, an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, digital scales and various forms of packaging materials and drug paraphernalia.

The defendant was identified as Edward W. Wright age 20 of Clayton who was charged with possession of Marijuana over 50 grams, Distribution of Marijuana, Distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a public park and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wright was processed and charged on summons and released pending court.

In a separate incident on Tuesday, March 6th, Clayton Police in conjunction with the Gloucester County Prosecutors office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in the 100 block of Maple Street, Clayton. The Search warrant was the result of over a month long investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics. Upon searching the defendants residence, Detectives located and seized numerous packaging materials, digital scale and other drug paraphernalia.

The defendants were identified as Miguel Perez age 19 of Clayton and Cheyenne Perez age 24 who was arrested for numerous outstanding warrants. Detective Jackson Harrington from the Clayton Police Department was the lead investigator and charging officer.
