SIX YEAR SENTENCE ON CHILD ENDANGERING CHARGE

Richard J. VanDexter  Jr. age 32, of Williamstown was sentenced on Friday, February 24th to six years in New Jersey state prison after pleading guilty to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, specifically by electronically sending sexually explicit images to a minor on 7/26/15 while in Monroe Township. According to a press release from the GCPO, VanDexter pleaded guilty to the endangering charge on 9/19/16 following negotiations with Senior Assistant Gloucester County Prosecutor Staci Scheetz. In sentencing VanDexter, Superior Court Judge Robert P. Becker said he is subject upon release from prison to the requirements of Megan’s Law for sex offenders and will be under parole supervision for at least 15 years.
