ROBERT LESLIE LINDMEIER, SR.
          Robert Leslie Lindmeier, Sr. on Saturday, December 24, 2016.  Age 76.  Husband of the late Philomena L. (nee German) Lindmeier.  Father of Robin (Thomas) Quinn, Eileen (Paul Nichols) Lindmeier, Jill (Claude Sneathen) Dare, and the late Robert L. (Theresa) Lindmeier, Jr.  Grandfather of 14 and Great-grandfather of 7. Brother of William, Elmer, Joseph, and Joan Lindmeier.  Son of the late William F. and Marie O. (nee Foster) Lindmeier.
         Robert was born in and lived his entire life in Franklinville.  He worked as a machine shop operator for Maul Brothers for 10 years before becoming a Police Officer with the Township of Franklin Police Department in 1967 where he worked until his retirement in 1992.  During the late 1970’s, he supervised the Police Explorers in the Township of Franklin.  Robert was a member of the Franklinville Fire Department where he earned exempt status as well as for the Township of Franklin Ambulance Corps.  He was a member of the Pitman Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed woodworking and model trains.  Robert raised chickens and pigs and helped his granddaughter with her horses.  His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is remembered by his family as a man who was always helping family and friends.
          Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, December 30, 2016 2016 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312.  Funeral Service on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Interment Cedar Green Cemetery, Clayton.  Sign the guest book and send condolences at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
