Bob was an 18 year resident of Erial after spending most of his life in Franklinville. He was a 1967 graduate of Delsea Regional High School and earned an AAS in Criminal Justice at Glassboro State College. He worked as a truck driver for many years, most recently as a tow truck driver for Bruce’s Towing & Repair in Franklinville.

Bob enjoyed astronomy, especially watching meteor showers, as well as trips to New England with his wife Janelle to see the autumn foliage in the mountains. Bob was also a car enthusiast who liked to tinker in his garage, especially his ’65 Barracuda. He loved all kinds of music and had an extensive record collection that spanned generations which he listened to daily. He enjoyed family barbecues and card games such as Uno, Pinochle, and Canasta. Bob was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and coached soccer in Franklin Township when his son was young. He spent his time as a young man on his family’s farm and at the Delsea Arena now known as the Sk8 47 Skating and Fun Center.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held after COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. The family is planning to hold this memorial in late spring or early summer 2021. Please contact montesfamilymemorial@gmail.com for details. Sign the guestbook at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
