HARRY PARK BOODY, JR. – Obituary

Harry Park Boody, Jr. was born in Paulsboro, NJ on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1943.  He passed away on July 3, 2020 at the age of 76.

Harry was the son of Harry P. Boody, Sr. and Anna Buccelli Boody.  Harry was drafted into the US Army.  He was a Pershing Missile Specialist and was a proud Vietnam Vet.  Harry married his high school Sweetheart, Dorothy Horner.  Together they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Harry grew up in Paulsboro, New Jersey and graduated from Paulsboro High School Class of 1962.  He worked for 50 years in the Natural Gas Industry as a Meter Repair Man.

Harry and Dot raised their family in Clayton, New Jersey.  Harry is survived by son Harry P. Boody, III of Clayton and daughter Lori (Dante) Bevilacqua of Millville.  Harry is survived by his 4 grandchildren Sydney-Jo, Malory, Dante, and Lynzi.  His grandchildren lovingly call him “Bop” and their first word that comes to their mind when they think of Bop is “funny”.  Also survived by his beloved dog Skippy.

Harry loved cooking, gardening, feeding birds & chipmunks.  He spent 37 years of his life enjoying fishing until he discovered the joys of Metal Detecting which he did with his son every weekend for the next 30 years!  Along with his wife he taught children at Gloucester County Community Church for 15 years and then 19 more years at Victory Assembly of God in Elmer, NJ where he was currently a member.  He was so loved by the hundreds of children he taught who enjoyed his unending sense of humor and he made learning about his Savior Jesus so much fun.
