HARDY H. METCALF, JR. – Obituary

   Hardy H. Metcalf, Jr. of Ferrell, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 31 at the age of 56 years. Loving son of Rebecca Ann (nee Frye) and the late Hardy H. Metcalf, Sr. Beloved husband of Lisa B. Metcalf (nee Bailey). Loving father of Mary Grace Brant (Adam) of Ferrell, NJ and Pearl K. Metcalf of Ferrell, NJ. Dear brother of Barry I. Metcalf Sr. (Denise) of Ferrell, Wesley L. Metcalf of Hope Mills, NC, and Rebecca A. Michels (William) of South Harrison. Loving uncle of  Barry I. Metcalf, Jr., Lindsey J. Avery, Sarah J. Metcalf, Jessica D. Metcalf, Jacob H. Michels, Lucy C. Michels and great-niece  Ashlynn Ann. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends. Hardy was a self-employed general contractor raised in Ferrell. He attended the Ferrell United Methodist Church in Ferrell and was an NRA member. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, golf, and the outdoors. Hardy also hand built his own cabin in Maine. He loved hosting family and friends for gatherings and had a great gift of giving. He was quiet but spoke volumes. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Friday, November 3rd, from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Barclay Funeral Home, 208 Maple Street, Clayton. His funeral service will begin at 5 PM at the funeral home.
