BURGLARY ARREST

Franklin Township

On Friday, November 3rd at around midnight, Franklin Twp Police were dispatched to an address on Judy Avenue in the Franklinville section of town for a report of a burglary/theft to a vehicle.  The victim advised they had gotten an alert on their surveillance video system which showed a male subject had entered their vehicle and removed several items.   Shortly thereafter, police located Jerold Collins, Jr., age 29 of Franklinville in the area of the burglary.  Further investigation revealed Collins had proceeds of the burglary in his possession.   Collins was placed under arrest and charged with burglary and theft.   He was later turned over to the Gloucester county Sheriff’s Department and transported to the Salem County Jail.   The investigation is being handled by Officer J. Fennimore and is on-going.  Anyone with information regarding this case are asked to please contact the Franklin Twp Police Department.   Township residents are reminded to always lock their vehicles.
