Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19 Testing (1/18/2021)

As of Monday, January 18, 2021 Gloucester County has conducted 128,112 total tests. Of these cases, 111,925 have come back negative.

Today, Gloucester County has an additional 107 cases to report. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 16,187. Gloucester County now has reported 434 deaths.

Daily numbers are obtained through the NJDOH database (CDRSS) and do not necessarily reflect the actual date of a positive case.  (In specific instances data dumps correcting past/historical cases that should have been assigned to Gloucester County occur, which skew the numbers reported on any given day.)

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.

Gloucester County will operate its drive-thru style COVID-19 testing site Tuesdays and Fridays. An appointment is required. The sites will open at 9 a.m. at the Clayton County Complex and Gloucester County Fleet Management in Mantua. You must call (856) 218-0300 to be prescreened by Rowan Medicine. Call takers will be available: Monday & Thursday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Please have your insurance information available at this time. You do not need to be symptomatic to receive testing.  Once pre-screened, please arrive at the appropriate testing site at 9 a.m.

New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care.
