CHARLOTTE EVELYN PIERCE – Obituary
Charlotte Evelyn Pierce (nee Messing) passed away on Wednesday,
December 30, 2020. Age 76. Mother of Stacey Marie Allen (late Duane
Aarile Allen) of Deerfield, CO; Donald Ernest Emery; Jennifer Evonne
Pierce of Longmont, CO; and Christopher Barton Pierce of Phippsburg,
ME. Grandmother of Taija-Rae Allen; Duane Aarile Allen, Jr.; Brandon
Emery; Mia Emery; Joshua Emery; Dawlton Cole; and Collin Pierce.
Great-grandmother of 4. Siblings, Gail Hagen and Ernest Messing, Jr.
and the late Wayne Messing and Craig Messing. Aunt to many nieces and
nephews. Daughter of the late Ernest & Wilma (nee Bower) Messing,
Sr.
A lifelong resident of Vineland, Charlotte was a 1962 graduate
of Vineland High School. Her life was focused on taking care of her
children and making the best with the little that they had to give them
such wonderful memories they hold on to today. Charlotte enjoyed doing
word find puzzles and putting together 1000+ jigsaw puzzles. She also
liked playing bingo and going to the casinos and was a devoted Eagles
fan. Her children fondly recall that Charlotte was a great cook making
the best Pineapple Upside-Down Cake and the most amazing Chicken &
Dumplings.
