WILLIAM NATHANIEL ISIBEL, III – Obituary
William Nathaniel Isibel, III, age 51, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in Voorhees, New Jersey. Beloved husband of Melissa Leigh (née Taylor) Isibel, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage. Devoted father of Haley Isibel (Juan Gomez, fiancé) and Dylan Isibel. Loving son of Linda Ann (née Quirk) Job (George), and the late William Nathaniel Isibel, Jr. Dear brother of Laurie Barber (Nicholas) and Frank Isibel, and brother-in-law of Kelly Davis (Brian), Sarah Myers (Brian), and Emily Kohri (Ron). Bill is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jordan Archambo (David) and their son, Nolan; Katie Eplin, Dominick Barber, Dawson Barber, Keira Walls, Declan Davis, Drew Davis, Delany Davis, Kyle Myers (Alexa), Hannah Myers, Lucas Myers, Jake Kohri, Taylor Kohri, and Kelsey Kohri.
Born on June 4, 1975, in Salem, Bill was raised in Carneys Point. He was a proud graduate of Penns Grove High School in 1993. Later, Bill made Clayton his home, where he and his family have lived for the past 20 years. Bill built a fulfilling 23-year career in the automotive industry beginning as a Sales Associate. He took on various management roles during the past 15 years, dedicating himself to leadership within the dealership, and most recently served as Sales Manager with Lilliston Ford in Vineland. He was known for his dedication to his work and for the relationships he developed throughout his career.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Bill was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan and particularly enjoyed listening to sports radio and following football. He also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He loved hiking, spending time in the woods, and fishing, an interest he developed during his youth. Fishing became something special that he was able to share with his children, often taking Haley and Dylan along with friends from the neighborhood and creating memories that they would carry with them.
Bill had a special love for the holidays, especially Christmas. If he had his way, the Christmas tree would remain up all year long. Bill cherished the shopping adventures he shared with Haley, creating memories together that she will always hold dear in her heart.
Bill had a naturally inquisitive mind and was perhaps best known for his ability—and willingness—to talk. He always seemed to have another interesting or little-known fact to share and genuinely enjoyed passing along the knowledge he had gathered. He followed the news closely, read books, and spent time browsing the internet, always curious to learn something new. His conversations could range from everyday topics to obscure pieces of information, and he had a way of making those around him part of whatever subject had captured his interest.
Reading was an interest Bill shared with Melissa. The two created their own personal “book club,” beginning with fantasy fiction and eventually inviting several friends to join them. Their book club became a source of enjoyment and connection, with conversations and text chats about the stories they were reading.
Bill also cherished the time he spent with his children, including taking his son to vintage toy stores, where the two enjoyed searching for and collecting vintage toys together. At home, he loved spending time with the family’s rescue dogs, Scarlet and Duke, as well as Tank, his daughter’s dog. Whether sharing an interest with his children, enjoying the outdoors, talking with family and friends, or simply spending time together at home, Bill treasured the moments that brought his family together.
From a young age, Bill held a deep interest in the military. Beginning at age 11 and continuing through his teenage years, he participated in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets program. His interest and respect for the military remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.
Above all else, Bill loved his family. He took great pride in the family he and Melissa created and valued the time they shared together. His curiosity, humor, love of conversation, appreciation for the outdoors, and devotion to those closest to him will remain a lasting part of the memories held by all who knew and loved him.
