TYLER DAVID KULKA – Obituary

Tyler David Kulka of Hammonton went home to God on Sunday, November 13, 2022. A beautiful soul taken too soon, at age 29. Son of Arlene Denise (nee May) Shipley (husband David P. Shipley) and Kevin Paul Kulka. Brother of Valerie Denise Quinn (husband Patrick Ryan Quinn). Grandson of David Raymond & Vivian Mae (nee Griggs) May and the late Charles Kulka and the late Barbara Ann Shrader. Uncle to Patrick R. Quinn II; Ryan David Quinn; and Olivia Katherine Quinn. He is survived by the love of his life, Heather Lynn Wolverton, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Born in Washington Township and raised in Audubon, Tyler was a resident of New Haven, CT for 7 years before returning to NJ where he has been a resident of Hammonton for the past year. He worked for 5½ years with Adult & Teen Challenge Connecticut after graduating from the program himself. During that time, he mentored people and helped saved many lives, leading them to a relationship with God and helping them to overcome their struggles. Tyler’s passion to save lives continued, as he earned his EMT certification from Yale New Haven Health System and worked for the past year as an EMT with Exceptional Medical Transportation in West Berlin, NJ.

Tyler loved to play video games, write, draw, build models, and eat way too much macaroni & cheese. Faith was a very important part of his life, and all who know him know that he was a brilliant young man with a heart and mind full of Christ. He enjoyed watching movies with loved ones like, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. He was fascinated with human anatomy, astronomy, outer space, and the stock market. Tyler loved animals, especially his kittens, Salem and Mufasa “Moofy”. As a child he had many pets and even loved bugs. It was obvious the overflowing amount of love he gave to everyone and everything around him. Tyler’s calling to save lives continues on, as his last wish was to donate his organs, and bless others with the gift of life.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 with a memorial service beginning at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Sign the guestbook at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
