STEPHANIE AMBROSE – Obituary

Stephanie Ambrose, 59, of Pittsgrove, NJ, passed away on April 10, 2024. Daughter of Judith Ambrose (Travis) and the late William Ambrose. Devoted mother to Shane Ambrose of Gloucester Township, Cheyenne Parsons of Franklinville, and Blaize Maccarone of Kingsville, Texas. Adoring grandmother to Raiyn and Roman Ambrose. Loving sister to Karen Grillo (John) of Sicklerville, Greta Ambrose-Evans (Mark) of Pittsgrove, and Kimberly Muchler (Fred) of Franklinville. Stephanie is survived by many nieces and nephews including, Gia, Johnny, Claudia, and Isabella. Granddaughter of the late Bruno and Margaret Ambrose, and the late Norma and Paul Lang.

Stephanie was born and raised in Blenheim, NJ, with her parents and three sisters. She attended Saint Agnes Elementary School from 1971 to 1979, then became a graduate and received her diploma from Highland High School in 1983. Stephanie always stayed local to where she was raised residing in Blackwood, Somerdale, Pine Hill, and Clementon. For the past five years, she lived in Smithville, Mississippi, with Lorie and Donny. Lorie and Donny are two wonderful people who are considered to be Stephanie’s extended family. While she was living in Mississippi, she started her chemo treatment for breast cancer in June 2023. Lorie and Donny had always gone the extra mile to take care of Stephanie. On March 22, 2024, Stephanie returned to New Jersey.

Stephanie was considered to be a free bird. She enjoyed life and getting new experiences through different jobs. Right out of High School, Stephanie had worked for the Naval Base as a secretary. Throughout her young life, and even as she got older, Stephanie worked as a cashier at various places. Once she was in her forties, she decided to become a caretaker for people who were in her life during that time.

Since a young age, Stephanie had a love for dancing which lead her to cheerleading. From age five to fourteen, Stephanie was the cheer captain every year for the GT Midget Football team. In her youth, she was on the Saint Agnes cheerleading team and was even the captain of that team. A fond memory was the “Miss Yell Cheerleading” competition for Saint Agnes, when Stephanie was fourteen years old. Not only did they win first place, but she also looked adorable with her two high pigtails. Stephanie also had a love for the outdoors, especially riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, at the hangout spot called “Little Mill.” In her free time, Stephanie loved to go to the beach or pool to swim and sunbathe. She loved all animals and always had dogs and cats, who she would do anything for. Stephanie had a heart of gold, she was always for the underdog and would be an advocate for anyone that needed it. Stephanie was always happy, positive, and laughing. She was always upbeat, even up to and until the time of her death, and she will be deeply missed.
