Glassboro, NJ (October 17, 2017) — The ShopRite of Glassboro located at 201 William L Dalton Drive has issued a voluntary recall of all store-made ground meat and Meat Loaf Mix with a sell-by date of October 16th that was sold on Monday, October 16th.

The product may contain small pieces of plastic and metal that may not be readily visible.  ShopRite ground meat packages produced and sold in the store on October 16 are being recalled. Recalled products include store-made packages of 80 and 85 percent lean ground beef; 80 and 85 percent family size lean ground beef; packages that contain ground beef, pork and veal; and packages that contain ground beef and veal with a sell-by date of October 16. All other meat products sold at ShopRite are not affected by this recall.

“We are advising customers who purchased any of these products at the ShopRite of Glassboro to return them for an immediate refund or replacement,” said ShopRite Spokesperson Karen Meleta. No injuries related to the recall have been reported.

ShopRite has reached out to Price Plus® club card customers who purchased this product to alert them to the recall.

This is an isolated incident and affects only the ShopRite of Glassboro. ShopRite is asking customers to check the labels of any ground meat products they may have purchased from the store and still have at home.  Please return affected products for a full refund or replacement.  Pre-packaged ground meat products and ground beef sold in other ShopRite stores in the area are not affected by this recall.
