Raymond Joseph Rossi, Jr. of Millville on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Age 79. Husband of 58 years to Rose Marie Rossi (nee Jordan). Father of Raymond J. Rossi, III (wife Jennifer) and the late Michael, Susan, and Christopher Rossi. Grandfather of Jenna and Robert Treen. Brother of Maryanne Dalessandro (husband John), John Rossi (wife Marge), and the late Anne Maire Zerebec and Joseph Rossi. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Raymond Joseph and Sarah (nee Savage) Rossi, Sr.
Born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in East Lansdowne, PA, Raymond was a 1960 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA. He moved to Franklinville in 1965 where he lived for 54 years before moving to Millville 2 years ago. Raymond was a store manager for Cumberland Farms for a number of years before becoming a route salesman for Drake’s Cakes for 5 years, Stroehmann Bakeries also for 5 years, and later Herr’s Potato Chips for 10 years. Most recently, he was the Electronics Department Manager at Walmart in Turnersville for 17 years.
Raymond enjoyed family gatherings and dining out. Together with Rose Marie, he loved to go dancing and to play the slot machines in Atlantic City. Raymond coached Franklin Township Little League for both of his sons and mostly enjoyed spending time with Rose Marie, his beloved wife of 58 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11:15 AM at Church of the Nativity, 2677 North Delsea Drive, Franklinville, NJ 08322. Interment Cedar Green Cemetery, Clayton.
