PAUL RUSSELL RAMSEY – Obituary
Paul Russell Ramsey of Franklinville on Monday, September 19, 2022. Age 62. Beloved husband of 17 years to Michelle Joe Ramsey (nee Dorfeld). Devoted son of Rose Lorraine Ramsey (nee Langley) and the late Paul Reese Ramsey. Father of Cheyenn Ramsey (Pete), and stepfather of Tatum Scarpaci and Joseph Scarpaci (Evon). Grandfather of Dominick Pruna (Alana), Tristian Pruna, and Cheyani Rodriguez, and step-grandfather of Nicky Scarpaci, Abby Blachniak, and Charlotte Blachniak. Brother of Anna Marie Lester (Mike), Paula Bajewicz (Steve), the late Dawn Coles, Blaine Ramsey, Lori Goldsmid (Clay), Nancy Carpenter, and the late Bonnie Mazzeo. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Born in Elmer and initially raised in Glassboro, Paul moved to Franklinville after the 3rd grade and attended the Franklin Township Schools and later Delsea Regional High School. He moved to Florida after high school living in Key West and then Ocala before returning to Franklinville in 1999. Paul worked at Ramsey and Son’s Autobody during the 1970’s learning bodywork and painting from his father. During his time in Florida, he worked as a truck driver for several companies. Upon his return to Franklinville in the late 90’s, Paul started Ramsey Reality. He returned to truck driving for Allied Painting and Phil Franchi Wrecking Company until his retirement.
Paul enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing, and anything else you could do on the water and owned several boats over the years. His family recalls that Paul was a good-hearted man who was quick to help anyone in need. Paul was devoted to his family and, in recent years, especially to Tristian and Dominick.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312.
