Nancy Mildred McLaughlin (nee Sykora) of Franklinville on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Age 87. Wife of 68 years to Edward Forbes McLaughlin. Mother of Michael Edward McLaughlin (late Wendy), Gary Robert McLaughlin (Kimberly), and Bruce William McLaughlin. Grandmother of Erin Zodda (Jason), Gary E. McLaughlin (Molly), Eric McLaughlin, Jessica Vasille (Bobby), Bryce McLaughlin, and the late Jason McLaughlin. Great-grandmother of Michaela Zodda, Lochlan Zodda, Noah McLaughlin (Emma), Atticus McLaughlin, Cora McLaughlin, Everette Vasille, Adalaide Vasille, and Lulu Vasille. Sister of George Sykora (Barbara) and the late Rick Sykora (surviving Esther). Daughter of the late Edwin James & Mary (nee Davidovich) Sykora.
Nancy was born in New York City and raised initially in Philadelphia and later in Williamstown. She lived briefly in Swedesboro and has been a resident of Franklinville for the past 68 years. Her husband Edward owned and operated M&E Pickup Caps, and Nancy helped him for many years. She loved cooking and baking, especially her famous Pineapple Cheese Pie and Jewish Apple Cake, and enjoyed camping and crocheting. Nancy was such a people person. She loved talking to people and listening to their stories, but the most important thing in her life was spending time with family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312.
