JUVENILES AIRLIFTED AFTER SERIOUS DIRT BIKE/ MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH

On Sunday, June 11th at around 4:15PM, Franklin Township Police were dispatched to the area of Marshall Mill and Main Road for a report of a dirt bike operating on the roadway that struck a vehicle. During the initial investigation, it was determined that two juveniles were operating a dirt bike on Marshall Mill Road when they entered the oncoming lane of travel and struck a Honda Accord, driven by Elijah Shanks, age 22 of Atco, NJ. As a result of the collision, both juveniles were ejected from the dirt bike and were thrown into a wooded area along the roadway. Both juveniles sustained serious bodily injuries and were airlifted to Cooper Hospital. Shanks sustained minor injuries and was transported to Inspira Medical Center, Mullica Hill. The motor vehicle crash is being investigated by Officer Alexander Fragoso of Franklin Twp Police Department.
