Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Friday, June 5th Gloucester County has conducted 15,139 total tests. Of these cases, 12,831 have come back negative and two are pending. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 2,306. Gloucester County has 150 COVID-19 related deaths.
Today, Gloucester County has an additional 18 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 2289th case is a 96-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2290th case is an 88-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2291st case is a 39-year-old male from Clayton.
The 2292nd case is a 51-year-old female from Logan.
The 2293rd case is a 24-year-old male from Swedesboro.
The 2294th case is a 56-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 2295th case is a 75-year-old female from Swedesboro.
The 2296th case is a 59-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 2297th case is an 88-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2298th case is a 71-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 2299th case is a 59-year-old female form Washington Twp.
The 2300th case is a 15-year-old male from Swedesboro.
The 2301st case is a 69-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 2302nd case is a 63-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 2303rd case is an 87-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2304th case is an 87-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2305th case is an 80-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2306th case is a 33-year-old female from Monroe Twp.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
