GARRY C. FORDYCE – Obituary
Garry C. Fordyce of Clayton NJ age78 went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2023. He was born on October 26, 1945. Son of John H. Fordyce (deceased) and Martha G. Fordyce (deceased). He is brother to Paul Fordyce (deceased) and survived by his wife Kathleen, his son Robert, his sisters Lillian Wilkins (John) and Jackie Rader. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was an over the road truck driver for most of his working life and retired as a maintenance worker at Delaware Valley Floral Group in 2010. Garry loved God, was a wonderful husband and a great Dad. He loved animals especially his cats Topper and Taz. His hobbies were flying small airplanes, building model train platforms and restoring antique automobiles to which his restored 1967 Chevy pickup won a few trophies at car shows. He loved playing the guitar and played a lot like Chet Atkins, his favorite guitar player. He played lead guitar in a family band called Gospel Express. In 1990 the band recorded an album entitled Gospel Express On Track. He loved off-roading in his Jeep and later in life liked to take long summer evening drives, watching the ships sail along the Delaware River and watching You Tubes of planes, trains and his favorite preachers.
