FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH – UPDATED
On Thursday, Oct. 19th at approximately 6:10PM, the Franklin Township Police were dispatched to the area of Delsea Drive near Marshall Mill Road for a motor vehicle crash involving a black Harley Davidson motorcycle and grey Ford Explorer. Police investigation revealed that the Ford Explorer was traveling south bound on Delsea Drive (Rt 47) when the motorcycle entered the southbound lane of Delsea Drive from the parking lot of the New Life in Christ Church in front of the Ford Explorer. The collision caused the driver of the motorcycle driver, Barry Jackson age 62 of Glassboro to be ejected. He was transported to Inspira Hospital in Vineland where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Ford Explorer, 24 year old Jonathan Cossaboon of Newfield reported no injuries. Assisting at the crash was Newfield Police Department, Malaga Fire Department, Gloucester County EMS, and Inspira Paramedics. Franklin Police Cpl Joe Murray is investigating the crash.
