Duane Joseph Conant of Woodstown on Monday, January 17, 2022. Age 67. Boyfriend of three years and longtime friend of Elaine Marie Landis of New Castle, DE. Husband of the late Janet Ann Conant (nee Fisher). Brother of Dawn Nelke of Absecon; Thomas Polk (Shirley) of Severn, MD; and Frank Polk (Joann) of Vineland. Son of the late Roscoe Taggart & Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Tudjek) Conant. Also survived by Alicia Landis of NC and Luka G. Landis of New Castle, DE. Predeceased by step-son Elias Matthew Morris. Survived by step-children Dawn Johnson (Bruce) of Deptford and Archie Hagerty (Val) of Bridgeton. Grandpop of 11.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Clayton, Duane was a 20+ year resident of Pitman before moving to Woodstown 3 years ago. He was a 1973 graduate of Clayton High School and worked as a Boilermaker for the Gloucester County Buildings & Grounds for 25 years until his retirement in 2019. Duane was a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Colonel Louis R. Francine Camp 7 and a member of the Sons of The American Legion. He loved the Phillies and Friday night wrestling.
