DENNIS MCNELLIS, SR. – Obituary
Dennis McNellis, Sr. of Franklinville on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Age 57. Husband of 35 years to Janine Marie (nee Carulli) McNellis. Father of Dennis McNellis, Jr. (Dawn); Courtney Marie McNellis; and Taylor M. McNellis. Grandfather of Timothy Rudderow, Jr.; Dennis McNellis, III; Logan Marie Rudderow; Tanner Joseph McNellis; Dalton Peter McNellis; and Jaelyn Rudderow. Son of the late Thomas Joseph & Mary Geraldine (nee White) McNellis. Brother of Thomas McNellis, Kathleen McNellis, Timothy McNellis, the late Michael McNellis, Colleen McNellis, Jacqueline Manganaro, Patrick McNellis, Christine Prate, Geraldine Manganaro, Maureen Allonardo, Theresa Suter, Eileen Wallace, Anthony McNellis, and Jennifer Klumpp. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dennis has been a resident of Franklinville since 1974. He was a 1983 graduate of Delsea Regional High School and was president of Dennis McNellis Enterprise, a trucking company based in Franklinville. Dennis and Janine would spend every spring and summer weekend for the past 8 years with their campground family in Batsto. Atlantic City was often a 2nd home away from home for them visiting the casinos and playing the slot machines. Dennis loved to cook dinner, especially for big holidays like Christmas and Palm Sunday. He loved his multiple cups of Wawa coffee every day and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially at the campground.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312.
