DELSEA VS TRITON GAME

On Saturday October 24th Delsea crushed Triton 62-13 to improve to 2-1 on the season. Delsea running back Trey Simmons had four touchdowns on the day plus an interception. Delsea opened up the game 21-0 with touchdowns from Trey, Jared Schoppe, and Jayden Stewart. Triton finally got on the board with an 80 yard kick return touchdown. Delsea struck right back and Simmons got his second on the day. Kicker Pierce Lightfoot added the extra point and was now 4/4 on the day for extra points. Just like the last drive, Delsea got the ball back and Trey scored his third touchdown of the day. Lightfoot added the extra point again, Delsea was now up 35-7. Triton tried to keep it close scoring another touchdown to make it 35-13 before halftime. Quarterback Luca Gebhard put Delsea up again scoring on the quarterback run, Lightfoot added his sixth extra point on the day. The score was now 42-13 at halftime, Delsea didn’t let up in the 2nd half. Jared Schoppe ran up the middle on the opening drive to make the score 49-13. Triton didn’t score the rest of the game and Delsea added two more touchdowns. Both scored by Freshman Wayne Adair and Gary Harper, their first career varsity touchdowns and hoping for many more to come. Delsea plays next week at home against Highland as they look to keep the winning streak going.
