On Friday November 13th, 2020, Delsea played against Millville. Delsea won the game 27-14 over pretty high ranked Millville. Millville had a record of 2-4 but big wins against St Augustine Prep and Williamstown had them higher ranked than Delsea who was 4-1. Millville struck first blood going up 7-0 on Delsea. Delsea came back with a touchdown of their own from Jaden Stewart. Lightfoot added the extra point and Delsea and Millvlle were tied 7-7 at halftime. Luca Gebhard started the second half with a 60 yard QB keeper touchdown run to put Delsea up 14-7. Delsea went back to work on defense and Safety Ricky Garron did just that. On 3rd down Millville threw up a pass and Garron high pointed the ball and took it to the house for six points and Delsea went up 21-7. Millville came back with a score to keep the game close but Delsea right after iced the game. Delsea RB Jared Schoppe iced the game with a 65 yard TD run to put Delsea up by two possessions. Final score 27-14 Delsea win over Millville. This was Delsea’s biggest win of the year and was a great win for Delsea’s 5 seniors who played their last HS football game on home field.
