DELSEA GIRLS BASKETBALL SPORTS WRAP-UP

Delsea Girls Basketball came into the week with a .500 record of 8-8. On Tuesday (2/4) they were looking to get above .500 and they did so against Highland. Delsea beat Highland 45-37 to move to 9-8 on the season. Zohei Travis and Peyton Gilmore led Delsea with 15 points each. Delsea played very good defense only allowing 37 points to Highland. Alexis Harkins and Tori Kanuck both had 6 points for Delsea as well. 

            On Thursday (2/6) Delsea played at Kingsway, they dropped a tough one against the Dragons 49-41. Peyton Gilmore led Delsea with 24 points and five rebounds, Zohei Travis had eight points of her own and a few boards. Delsea led for most of the game but couldn’t hold on later in the game.  It was a tough loss for the Crusaders and they dropped back to 9-9.

On Saturday (2/8) they traveled to North Burlington and rolled past them 45-28 to get back above .500 (10-9). Once again, the Crusaders played very good defense only allowing 28 points. Zohei Travis led Delsea with 15 points and a few boards. Delsea had four players with 7 points (Gilmore, Harkins, Kanuck, Morton). It was a very well-rounded team win for the Crusaders. Delsea is looking ahead with a respectable record of 10-9.
