BARBARA STROH – Obituary
Barbara Stroh (nee Griggs), age 89, a longtime resident of Clayton and recently of Shady Lane Nursing Home passed away on January 25, 2024. Wife of the late Robert Stroh for 56 years. Mother to Brian and Gary. Grandmother to Ashley, Brittany, Kristen, Brian Jr., Brianna, Brandon, and the late Star. Great-grandmother to Rosalie.
Daughter of Leslie and Clara Griggs, Barbara was born and raised in Vineland, NJ before marrying Bob and making a home in Clayton. Before becoming a mother, she worked for Bell Telephone Company as a bookkeeper and later served for many years as the data entry manager for bowling leagues at Glass Bowl in Glassboro, NJ.
A longtime member of the parish of Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Catherine of Siena R.C. Church in Clayton, Barb enjoyed traveling with Bob to many Knights of Columbus bowling tournaments, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, watching the Phillies, and gardening. She adored animals, was happiest taking care of others, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Their sons have heard thousands of time, “Your mom is really sweet”.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312. Funeral mass at 11:30 AM at Saint Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, 49 W. North Street, Clayton, NJ 08312. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
