BANK ROBBERY SUBJECT ARRESTED

On Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Franklin Township Police were dispatched to Newfield National Bank, Malaga Branch for a report of a bank robbery that had just occurred. The suspect demanded cash from the tellers and stated he had a gun. The suspect obtained cash from the bank and fled in a black Mazda 6, north on Delsea Drive. Information including the vehicle description, tag, suspect description and direction of travel was immediately obtained and distributed to several agencies. The suspect was located traveling north on Route 42 in the area of 295. A motor vehicle stop was initiated, however the suspect failed to stop. After a pursuit, the suspect crashed in the median and fled on foot where a foot pursuit ensued. Multiple agencies were able to form a perimeter and eventually capture the suspect nearby. No injuries were reported. Multiple pieces of evidence were collected, including cash believed to be proceeds from the robbery. The suspect David Glenn, age 30 of Bridgeton was transported to Franklin Township Police Headquarters where he was charged with Robbery, Theft, Terroristic Threats and processed and turned over to the Salem County Correctional Facility for incarceration. Assisting agencies included Elk Township, Mantua Township. Deptford Township, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department, and New Jersey State Police.
