TINA MARIE MASON – Obituary
Tina Marie Mason (nee Morris) of Clayton on Friday, May 3, 2024. Age 55. Wife of 26 years to Christopher Daniel Mason. Mother of Ashley Martha Mason (Jeremy Grilli, husband), Christa Bea Mason, and Evan Christopher Mason, all of Clayton. Grandmother of Agatha Eve Toal. Daughter of the late Clarke Ludwig and the late Martha Evelyn Morris (nee Thibodeaux). Sister of Phillip Morris, Linda Ryan (Joe), Beatrice Morris, Kimberly Jagielski, and the late Raymond Morris. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Devoted pet parent to “Frankie” and “Pebbles.”
Tina was a lifelong resident of Clayton, where she attended Clayton High School. She met Chris in December of 1989, and they married in January of 1998. Tina loved animals and enjoyed taking her dogs on long walks. She maintained several bird feeders in her yard so she could enjoy watching the birds and was constantly on the lookout for new species. She also enjoyed gardening and loved flowers, especially her zinnias and sunflowers. Tina was a former member of the Clayton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary as well as an EMT volunteering with the Clayton Volunteer Ambulance Squad from 2006 to 2007 before the county took over that function. She loved cooking and would create many of her own recipes. She adored her granddaughter and loved spending time with her husband. Tina loved to take long rides in the car with no destination so she could see the world, and her days didn’t begin without her morning coffee from Heritages, which she loved so much. She was a very kind and generous person, willing to help anyone in need, even if that meant giving the shirt off of her back or taking food from her refrigerator.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312, where friends may call from 10:00 AM until service time.
