Press Release GCPO – Jefferson Health Care Center Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Unit Shooting
A 74-year-old Mullica Hill woman who was being treated at the Jefferson Health Care Center’s Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Unit on Egg Harbor Road in Sewell was shot this morning (2/20) by her husband in an isolated incident at the facility. The husband then fatally shot himself. Arlene McKenna was transported to the trauma unit of Cooper Medical Center in Camden where she was pronounced. Her husband, Raymond McKenna, age 76, of the same Mullica Hill address, died at the scene of the shootings. The isolated incident at the 60-bed sub-acute rehabilitation center occurred shortly before 8 a.m. Officers of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington Township Police Department are investigating.
