NOTICE OF INTRODUCTION
ORDINANCE 10-2026
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #2-2026 FIXING THE SALARIES, WAGES AND COMPENSATION TO BE PAID THE VARIOUS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE BOROUGH OF CLAYTON, COUNTY OF GLOUCESTER AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY FOR THE YEAR 2026 – TAKE NOTE
that the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Clayton held on May 14th, 2026 and was then read for the first time. The said ordinance will be further considered for final passage by the Mayor and Council at the Municipal building, 125 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ at a meeting beginning 6PM on May 28th, 2026 at which time and place or any time and place to which such meeting be adjourned, al persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning such ordinance BY ORDER of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Clayton.

ORDINANCE 10-2026 – An Ordinance Amending Ordinance #2-2026 Fixing the Salaries, Wages and Compensation to Be Paid the Various Officers and Employees of the Borough of Clayton, County of Gloucester and State of NJ for the Year 2026 – Be It ordained by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Clayton, County of Gloucester, State of NJ as follows: Section 1. that the Salaries, Wages and Compensation of the various officers and employees of the Borough of Clayton established under Ordinance #2-2026 are hereby awarded by and/or by adding the following:
YEARLY SALARY RANGES (NOT TO EXCEED)
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Part-Time Mechanic (not to exceed 24 hrs/week) $25.00-$35.00/hour. The said Salaries, Wages and Compensation listed above shall be paid heretofore, and shall be paid in the manner and at the time decided upon by the Mayor and Council. Section 2. Repealer – All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistencies. Section 3. Severability – Each section of this Ordinance is an independent section, and the holding of any section or part thereof to be unconstitutional, void or ineffective, shall not be deemed to affect the validity or constitutionality of any other sections or parts hereof. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon formal approval by the Clayton Borough Council and publication as required by law.

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 61, GRADING, AND ADOPTING A NEW CHAPTER 61, GRADING, IN THE CODE BOOK OF THE BOROUGH OF CLAYTON
This Ordinance was introduced at a meeting held on the 14th day of may, 2026. It is scheduled for a PUBLIC HEARING and FINAL ADOPTION at a meeting of the Mayor & Council of the Borough of Clayton beginning at 6:00 PM on the 28th day of May, 2026 at the Municipal Building, 125 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ. the purpose of this Ordinance is to Repeal Chapter 61, Grading and adopting a new Chapter 61, Grading in the Code Book of the Borough of Clayton. A copy of this Ordinance can be obtained without any cost, by any member of the general public in the Borough Clerk’s office within the Borough of Clayton in the Municipal Building, 125 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
