MARY V. SIMS – Obituary
Mary V. Sims (nee Brandt) of Philadelphia on Monday, February 22, 2021. Age 86. Mother of the late Christine Wiley. Grandmother of Alexandra Wiley and Samantha Emmett (Matthew). Great-grandmother of Lily, Lyla, Landon, and James. Sister of Kathleen Barrett (Patrick) Carleen Alsburg, and the late Emil Brandt. Daughter of the late Leon E. and Eleanor (nee Schauber) Brandt.
Born in Camden and raised in the Pollock Town neighborhood, Mary has been a longtime resident of Philadelphia. She owned and operated a restaurant in Philadelphia called “Mary’s Place” for many years. Mary loved to cook and enjoyed teaching her grandchildren to cook when they were little. She also loved spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312.
