JOHN KENNETH ROSENBERG – Obituary
John Kenneth Rosenberg of Hurffville on Friday, February 17, 2023. Age 75. Husband of 53 years to Linda Lee Rosenberg (nee Pugliese). Father of Christopher K. Rosenberg and his wife Allison Gertel-Rosenberg (originally of Laurel Springs) of Somerdale and Brian J. Rosenberg and his wife Angela (nee Nardelli) Rosenberg, of Franklinville. Grandfather of Connor Joseph Rosenberg and Jordyn Louise Rosenberg. Son of the late Kenneth Pethrick & Ella (nee Reinhardt) Rosenberg. Brother of the late Edward K. Rosenberg (surviving wife Mary Louise Rosenberg of Lexington, KY) and the late Helen June Taylor (late husband Charles). Born in Darby, PA and raised in Philadelphia where he was a graduate of West Catholic High School, John proudly served two years in the US Navy as a Storekeeper 3rd Class on the Gearing-class destroyer USS Charles H. Roan (DD-853). He moved to Franklinville in 1973, where he resided for 46 years until he moved to assisted living in Hurffville 4 years ago. John worked as a store clerk for ACME Markets in Sicklerville for approximately 30 years before retiring. He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams and loved Delsea High School football. For several seasons, John wrote a column for The Sentinel covering Delsea football. He was a member of the SGT Anthony P. Growchowski VFW Post 2071 in Franklinville.
