DENNIS J. DOYLE, SR. – Obituary

Dennis J. Doyle, Sr., 67, of Malaga, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 22, 2026. Dennis spent his last moments surrounded by his family and his fur babies, Sophia, Raven, and Murphy.

Dennis was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures and beauty in the world around him. Whether he was woodworking, kayaking along peaceful waters, riding his bicycle, or simply enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, he embraced each day with a quiet appreciation for life.

One of Dennis’ favorite places to be was sitting on his swing with his faithful pups by his side, listening to the gentle music of the wind chimes he loved so much. He had a special connection with animals and cared deeply for every creature he encountered. In a touching reflection of that bond, his beloved dog Sophia remained faithfully by his side when he peacefully passed away.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. During his military service, he served aboard the USS Tecumseh (SSBN-628) as a Sonar Mate and aboard the USS Dewey (DDG-45) as an Electrical Mate. He carried the values of dedication, service, and hard work throughout his life, and he was honored to have served his nation.

He was known for his laid-back nature, easy smile, heart of gold, and wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of making people laugh and feel comfortable in his presence. Family and friends cherished his company, his stories, and the warmth he brought into their lives.

He loved spending time riding his bike or sitting along the boardwalks of Atlantic City and Ocean City taking in the ocean air. Above all, he treasured the moments spent with his children and grandchildren. Being a father and a grandfather brought him immense pride and happiness, and the memories he created with his family will be forever cherished.

Dennis was passionate about his role as a Certified Medical Assistant at Pitman Manor. He genuinely loved his job and the opportunity it gave him to care for others. His compassion, kindness, and dedication touched the lives of countless residents, coworkers, and families throughout the years.

Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the sound of wind chimes on a breezy day, in quiet moments spent in nature, in the laughter of his grandchildren, and in the unconditional love shared between people and their pets.

Dennis is predeceased by his mother, Joan McDowell, father, Franklin Doyle and step-father, Richard McDowell; his brothers Timothy Doyle and Jamie Doyle, son-in-law, Richard Smith and his wife Linda.
