On Wednesday February 3rd Delsea Boys basketball played the Deptford Spartans and lost a tough one 66-48. The Crusaders were outmatched on both sides of the floor and trailed the entire game. Cole Parks led Delsea with fifteen points, three rebounds and three assists. Sadique Powell had eleven points and six rebounds and Enrico Barnett had seven points and four rebounds. Gabe Morton and Chris Motter also each had four points and Landon Burns had a team high nine rebounds. Delsea let Deptford get inside and make easy layups throughout the game and on the offensive end the Crusaders didn’t knock down shots when they needed to. Rebounding was another thing the Crusaders could have done better to change the final score. This resulted in Delsea dropping to 1-3 on their season until they played their next game against Triton on Friday February 5th.

Delsea won that nail bitter against Triton in overtime 45-40 improving their season to 2-3. Landon Burns led the Crusaders with 13 points, six rebounds and four assists. Sadique Powell had a double- double with twelve points and eleven rebounds and three assists. Cole Parks had ten points and Jimmy Reilly was shutdown on defense with seven rebounds, two blocks and three steals. Enrico Barnett also added six points and four rebounds in the close game. Delsea trailed by four at halftime as well as the end of the third quarter but managed to tie it up in the fourth. Triton hit a three-pointer to send the game into overtime but Delsea outscored them 8-3 in the extra period to seal the game.
