STEPHEN BERNARD BAJEWICZ, SR. – Obituary
Stephen Bernard Bajewicz, Sr., 73, of Franklinville, New Jersey, passed away on October 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 13, 1951, in Camden, New Jersey, Steve lived a life defined by strength, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.
A proud graduate of Delsea Regional High School, Class of 1970, Steve was known from an early age for his passion for physical fitness and sports. He was an avid wrestler and football player in his youth and later became a dedicated bodybuilder. His love for adventure never waned—he embraced the thrill of skydiving, white water rafting in Maine, and any challenge that tested his strength and spirit. He was always ready to remind those around him just “how strong” he was, both in body and in character.
Steve found his calling in masonry and bricklaying, where his skill and dedication earned him the respect of peers and clients alike. He was considered a master mason and “the best” in his trade. But more than his professional accomplishments, Steve was known for his boundless generosity. He was the kind of man who was only a phone call away—always ready to lend a hand, fix what was broken, or simply be there when someone needed him.
Steve’s legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Paula “PJ” Bajewicz (nee Ramsey); his sister, Sandi Bajewicz; his son, Stephen Bajewicz Jr., and daughter-in-law Summer Bajewicz; his daughter, Carilynn Marie McClain (nee Bajewicz), and son-in-law Jeremy McClain; and his stepson, Damon Caccese. He was a proud grandfather to Sage and Sierra Bajewicz; Tyler Pacheco and his wife Devan; Jeremy McClain and his wife Lainey; Cameron McClain; and Jacob Caccese. Steve also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will remember him with love and admiration.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Betty Bajewicz, and his brother, Robert Bajewicz.
Steve’s life was a testament to strength, loyalty, and compassion. Whether building with bricks or building up those around him, he left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His adventurous spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
