REGINA A. GUIDA – Obituary

Regina A. Guida
November 1, 1937 – June 7, 2025

Regina A. Guida (née Schofield), a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved friend to many, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Washington Township, New Jersey. She was born on November 1, 1937, in South Philadelphia. Regina was the cherished mother of the late Salvatore J. Guida, Jr. and Michelle Juray (Paul); loving grandmother of Christopher W. Baldino and Susan Baldino (Falls); and adoring great-grandmother to Ava Baldino. She was the beloved daughter of the late John H. and Agnes (née Muldowney) Schofield, and the dear sister of the late Joan H. O’Donnell (late Francis). Regina is also survived by her nephews Timothy O’Donnell and Frank O’Donnell, and was predeceased by her niece, Kelly Litvin.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Regina graduated in 1956 from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School in Philadelphia. She remained a proud Philadelphian throughout her life, residing for many years in Southwest Philadelphia before settling in Glassboro, New Jersey, where she lived for the past 25 years.

Regina found joy and purpose in her work, spending ten years at My 3 Sons Diner and five years at Campo’s Italian Deli, both in Southwest Philadelphia. She worked the deli counter at both establishments, where her warm personality and love of conversation left a lasting impression on patrons and coworkers alike.

A true people person, Regina cherished time spent talking with others. Whether catching up with friends, enjoying long walks, or simply sharing a laugh, she had a gift for making people feel welcome and heard. She loved to read and found special joy in the company of her great-granddaughter, Ava, who brought light to her later years. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting on the beach, watching the waves roll in while reading a good book—a simple pleasure that brought her great peace and happiness.

Regina will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of family, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and conversation. Her presence will be deeply missed.
