PATRICIA ANN DEGUENTHER (nee Dare) – Obituary
Patricia Ann Deguenther (nee: Dare) passed away suddenly on June 16, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on August 8, 1944 while her father served in the Pacific during WWII. Pat grew up in Franklin Twp. during the 1950’s with Poodle Skirts and Rock and Roll. As a freshman in Clayton HS, she met the love of her life William Deguenther by pushing him down the steps, just to get his attention. It worked Pat and Bill spent the next sixty-one years together. Pat spent her younger life working in the Glass Industry in Vineland and Franklinville, but found her most rewarding work as a medical receptionist at the medical office of Dr. Fruchman in Glassboro. After her retirement, she spent her time as a homemaker and with her second passion in life her beloved dogs.
Pat is survived by her husband of 51 years William (Bill), Mother Mary E. Dare (Porch), brothers Jacob Dare, William Dare (Terri), sister-in-laws Marguerite Lewis, Esther Lee and Veronica Deguenther as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews that she loved like a Mom.
Pat’s wit and love for her family as well as her love for animals are irreplaceable and will be forever missed.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial celebration of her life on June 28, 2018 at the Adams Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Elmer, NJ 08318. Starting at 6:30 PM the family will be available to greet those who wish to stop by and pay their respects with the service following at 7:30 PM. Interment will be held at a later date.
