MARYJANE ‘JANE’ CONTO- Obituary
Maryjane “Jane” Conto (nee Schweigart), 84, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025. Born July 10, 1941 in National Park, New Jersey, Jane dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 61 years, Charles “Chickie”, and their 5 children. Loving wife of the late Charles E. Conto, Sr. and mother of Debbie O’Brien (Richard) Charles E. Conto, Jr. (Donna), the late Maryjane Archer (Harry) Linda Stevenson (John), and Angelene Pinizzotto (John), with whom Jane resided in Crisfield, MD for the past 3 years. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Jane was the loving sister to the late William “Billy” Schweigart (Linda), the late Joseph Schweigart (Alice), the late John Schweigart (Sue), Raymond Schweigart (Gladys), David Schweigart (Barbara), Nancy Schriver (Charles) and Michael Schweigart (Ann). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Jane loved crocheting, dancing with her brothers, her puzzle books, camping in Pecuea Silver Mines in Pennsylvania where her and Chickie enjoyed many country music concerts, and other camping destinations and Dover races. Her greatest love was her husband, children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Clayton Elk’s Lodge, 350 S. Broad Street, Clayton, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Barclay Funeral Home.
