JOYCE ANNETTE ROSE – Obituary
Joyce Annette Rose (nee Deal), 68, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so fiercely. Born with a spirit full of strength, independence, and unwavering selflessness, Joyce lived her life with a quiet courage that inspired everyone who knew her.
Joyce shared 49 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Wilford “Bill” Rose, a partnership built on love, respect, and an unbreakable bond. Together they raised three daughters—Michelle Francisco, Holly Gonzalez, and Julie Leventhall—who were the light of Joyce’s life. She welcomed her sons-in-law, Benjamin Francisco Jr., Joshua Gonzalez, and Jason Leventhall, into the family with open arms and a full heart. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Alfred Edward and Jean Marie Frances (nee Bailleul) Deal.
Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, each one adored beyond measure: Abram Francisco, Mirabella Francisco, Nate Francisco, Elaina Sanders, Ryan Doty, Austin Doty, Alyssa Doty, Joshua Gonzalez Jr., and Sophia Gonzalez, as well as her first great-granddaughter, Joy Sanders. Joyce cherished every moment spent with them—celebrating milestones, sharing stories, and offering the kind of love only a grandmother can give.
Joyce also lovingly welcomed the spouses who became part of the family: Lena Francisco (Nate’s wife), Zachariah Sanders (Elaina’s husband), and Chloe Doty (Ryan’s wife).
A woman of tremendous faith, Joyce served as a pianist at her church for many years. Music was one of her greatest joys, and playing the piano brought her peace, purpose, and connection. Whether she was sharing hymns with her congregation or playing at home for her family, her music was an expression of her heart and devotion.
Joyce was a woman who never backed down from life’s challenges. She fought with resilience, cared with her whole heart, and lived with purpose. Her strength touched everyone around her, and her generosity and compassion defined the way she moved through the world. She was the quiet anchor of her family, the one who held everyone together with grace and unwavering love.
Those who knew her will remember her for her fierce spirit, her boundless heart, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
Joyce’s family will carry her memory forward with deep gratitude for the gift of her presence in their lives.
May her strength continue to guide them, and may her love live on in every generation that follows.
Joyce’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12 PM to 1 PM at Harvest Bible Fellowship, 439 Monroeville Road, Monroeville, NJ. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 PM followed by a luncheon from 2 PM to 4 PM. Sign the guestbook and send condolences at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
