Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Saturday, August 1st Gloucester County has conducted 33,374 total tests. Of these cases, 30,283 have come back negative. Four cases have been moved out of County.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,091.Today, Gloucester County has an additional 18 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 3074th case is a 53-year-old female from Mantua.
The 3075th case is a 34-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 3076th case is a 21-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 3077th case is a 42-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3078th case is a 76-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3079th case is a 57-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 3080th case is a 54-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 3081st case is a 66-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3082nd case is a 27-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 3083rd case is a 54-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3084th case is a 45-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3085th case is a 19-year-old male from Franklin Twp.
The 3086th case is a 36-year-old female from West Deptford.
The 3087th case is a 25-year-old male from Mantua.
The 3088th case is a 20-year-old male from Mantua.
The 3089th case is an 18-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 3090th case is a 21-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 3091st case is a 35-year-old male from Washington Twp.
Gloucester County has 201 COVID-19 related deaths. The 201st patient death was a 56-year-old male from Deptford. The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
