Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Wednesday, July 22nd Gloucester County has conducted 28,629 total tests. Of these cases, 25,745 have come back negative. One case has been moved out of County.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 2,884.Today, Gloucester County has an additional 17 cases to report. Of those cases:

The 2868th case is a 53-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 2869th case is a 29-year-old female from Deptford.
The 2870th case is a 52-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 2871st case is a 22-year-old male from Clayton.
The 2872nd case is a 16-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 2873rd case is a 72-year-old male from Deptford.
The 2874th case is a 51-year-old male from Swedesboro.
The 2875th case is a 20-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 2876th case is a 12-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 2877th case is a 21-year-old female from Clayton.
The 2878th case is a 26-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 2879th case is a 39-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 2880th case is a 21-year-old male from Mantua.
The 2881st case is a 20-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 2882nd case is a 49-year-old male from Woolwich.
The 2883rd case is a 76-year-old male form Monroe Twp.
The 2884th case is a 45-year-old female from Washington Twp.

Gloucester County has 193 COVID-19 related deaths. The 192nd patient death was a 68-year-old female from Deptford.The 193rd patient death was an 80-year-old male from West Deptford.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
