Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19
As of Monday, July 6th Gloucester County has conducted 23,154 total tests. Of these cases, 20,501 have come back negative.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 2,653. Gloucester County as of Monday (7/6) has an additional 11 cases to report. Of those cases: The 2643rd case is a 30-year-old female from Glassboro; the 2644th case is a 43-year-old female from Monroe Twp.; the 2645th case is a 45-year-old female from Mantua; the 2646th case is a 56-year-old female from Harrison Twp.; the 2647th case is a 49-year-old male from Woolwich; he 2648th case is a 20-year-old female from Woodbury; the 2649th case is a 41-year-old male from Monroe Twp.; the 2650th case is a 38-year-old female from Glassboro; the 2651st case is a 23-year-old male from Washington Twp.; the 2652nd case is a 23-year-old male from Washington Twp.; the 2653rd case is a 31-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
Gloucester County has 182 COVID-19 related deaths; the 182nd patient death was a 50-year-old female from Swedesboro.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
