Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Friday, August 28th Gloucester County has conducted 42,415 total tests. Of these cases, 38,759 have come back negative.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,656 and has 213 COVID-19 related deaths. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 23 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 3634th case is a 35-year-old female from Mantua.
The 3635th case is a 25-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3636th case is a 34-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3637th case is a 26-year-old female from Elk.
The 3638th case is a 29-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3639th case is a 26-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3640th case is a 71-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3641st case is a 13-year-old male from East Greenwich.
The 3642nd case is a 74-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3643rd case is a 17-year-old female from South Harrison Twp.
The 3644th case is a 73-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 3645th case is a 49-year-old female from Newfield.
The 3646th case is a 10-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 3647th case is a 50-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 3648th case is an 18-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 3649th case is a 64-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3650th case is a 45-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 3651st case is a 46-year-old female from Swedesboro.
The 3652nd case is a 34-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 3653rd case is a 49-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 3654th case is a 19-year-old male from Newfield.
The 3655th case is a 44-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3656th case is a 19-year-old female from Pitman.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations.
