Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Saturday, August 22, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 41,738 total tests. Of these cases, 38,166 have come back negative.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,571 and 213 COVID-19 related deaths. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 29 cases to report. Of those cases:

The 3549th case is a 68-year-old female from Deptford.

At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care.Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
