Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Wednesday, August 19th Gloucester County has conducted 40,519 total tests. Of these cases, 37,013 have come back negative.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,506. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 24 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 3483rd case is an 18-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 3484th case is a 48-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3485th case is a 16-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 3486th case is a male from Washington Twp. Age is unknown at this time.
The 3487th case is a 63-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3488th case is a 16-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 3489th case is a 17-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 3490th case is a 41-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 3491st case is a 56-year-old male from Westville.
The 3492nd case is a 64-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3493rd case is a 16-year-old female from Mantua.
The 3494th case is a 69-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3495th case is a 55-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3496th case is a 55-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 3497th case is a 62-year-old male from East Greenwich.
The 3498th case is a 23-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 3499th case is a male from West Deptford. Age is unknown at this time.
The 3500th case is a 35-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 3501st case is a 17-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 3502nd case is a 28-year-old female from Pitman.
The 3503rd case is a 42-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3504th case is a 64-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3505th case is an 18-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3506th case is a 17-year-old male from Woodbury.

Gloucester County has 211 COVID-19 related deaths. The 211th patient death was a 76-year-old female from Pitman. The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
