Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Sunday, August 16th Gloucester County has conducted 39,141 total tests. Of these cases, 35,709 have come back negative. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,432 and has 208 COVID-19 related deaths. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 14 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 3419th case is a 32-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3420th case is an 18-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 3421st case is a 34-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3422nd case is a 50-year-old male from Pitman.
The 3423rd case is a 23-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3424th case is a 54-year-old male from Elk.
The 3425th case is an 18-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3426th case is a 19-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3427th case is a 91-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 3428th case is a 25-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3429th case is a 35-year-old male from Pitman.
The 3430th case is a 47-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3431st case is an 18-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3432nd case is a 47-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
