Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

           As of Tuesday, August 11th Gloucester County has conducted 37,299 total tests. Of these cases, 33,996 have come back negative.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,303. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 28 cases to report. Of those cases:

 The 3276th case is a 54-year-old male from Washington Twp.  The 3277th case is a 25-year-old female from Washington Twp.  The 3278th case is a 21-year-old female from Washington Twp.  The 3279th case is a 51-year-old female from Franklin Twp.  The 3280th case is a 60-year-old male from Monroe Twp.  The 3281st case is a 25-year-old female from Washington Twp.  The 3282nd case is a 19-year-old male from Elk.  The 3283rd case is a 52-year-old male from Greenwich Twp.  The 3284th case is a 2-year-old male from Woodbury.  The 3285th case is a 58-year-old male from Wenonah.  The 3286th case is a 22-year-old female from Washington Twp.  The 3287th case is a 19-year-old male from Woolwich.  The 3288th case is a 37-year-old female from Glassboro.  The 3289th case is a 19-year-old female from Franklin Twp.  The 3290th case is a 25-year-old female from Newfield.  The 3291st case is a 22-year-old male from Mantua.  The 3292nd case is a 24-year-old female from Washington Twp.  The 3293rd case is a 46-year-old female from Westville.  The 3294th case is a 20-year-old female from Glassboro.  The 3295th case is a 19-year-old female from Franklin Twp.  The 3296th case is a 20-year-old female from Washington Twp.  The 3297th case is a 24-year-old female from Woodbury.  The 3298th case is a 17-year-old male form Washington Twp.  The 3299th case is a 51-year-old male from Elk.  The 3300th case is a 16-year-old female from Franklin Twp.  The 3301st case is a 20-year-old female from Franklin Twp.  The 3302nd case is a 31-year-old male from Washington Twp.  The 3303rd case is a 43-year-old female from West Deptford.  

 Gloucester County has 206 COVID-19 related deaths. The 206th patient death was a 72-year-old male from Deptford.

 The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.    Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
