Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19
As of Monday, August 10th Gloucester County has conducted 36,723 total tests. Of these cases, 33,472 have come back negative. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,275 and has 205 COVID-19 related deaths . Today, Gloucester County has an additional 10 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 3266th case is a 22-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3267th case is a 26-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 3268th case is a 1-year old male from Franklin Twp.
The 3269th case is a 21-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3270th case is a 20-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 3271st case is a 63-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 3272nd case is a 59-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 3273rd case is a 29-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 3274th case is a 40-year-old female from National Park.
The 3275th case is a 75-year-old male from Elk.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
