Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19
As of Sunday, August 9th Gloucester County has conducted 36,361 total tests. Of these cases, 33,120 have come back negative.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,250 and there are 205 COVID-19 related deaths.. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 15 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 3251st case is a 46-year-old male from Elk.
The 3252nd case is a 19-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3253rd case is a 45-year-old male from Greenwich Twp.
The 3254th case is a 20-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3255th case is a 17-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3256th case is a 44-year-old female from Greenwich Twp.
The 3257th case is a 35-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3258th case is a 52-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 3259th case is a 20-year-old female from Paulsboro.
The 3260th case is a 53-year-old female from Deptford.
The 3261st case is a 43-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 3262nd case is a 48-year-old male from Newfield.
The 3263rd case is a 26-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 3264th case is a 74-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3265th case is a 22-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.
