Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Saturday, August 8th Gloucester County has conducted 36,049 total tests. Of these cases, 32,799 have come back negative. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,250. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 24 cases to report. Of those cases:

The 3228th case is a 21-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 3229th case is a 45-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 3230th case is a 26-year-old female from Greenwich Twp.
The 3231st case is a 20-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3232nd case is a 43-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3233rd case is a 21-year-old female from Wenonah.
The 3234th case is a 20-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 3235th case is a 54-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3236th case is a 34-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 3237th case is a 9-month-old male from Woolwich.
The 3238th case is a 61-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3239th case is a 41-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3240th case is a 33-year-old female from Mantua.
The 3241st case is a 12-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 3242nd case is a 51-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 3243rd case is a 17-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 3244th case is a 17-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3245th case is a 3-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3246th case is a 17-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3247th case is a 19-year-old male from Franklin Twp.
The 3248th case is an 18-year-old male from Washington Twp.

Gloucester County has 205 COVID-19 related deaths.The 205th patient death was a 94-year-old female from Franklin Twp.The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
